Assessment

We offer a comprehensive assessment of your current state and data-driven, strategic, and actionable recommendations so you can focus your efforts and have a benchmark to measure progress.

Assessment

DEI Audits

We offer three DEI Audits – in a package or as separate services. They will help you understand your organization’s demographics, employees’ experiences, practices, processes, and policies that enable or are a barrier to DEI.

Diversity Audit

It is a multidimensional analysis of selected dimensions of diversity at the level of:

  • organization, individual departments/units and teams
  • key levels of the organizational hierarchy

We start by working with the information the organization already has in various databases. The laws in many European countries prevent us from collecting demographic data commonly analyzed in Canada or the US.

The in-depth analysis lets us see clear patterns and provide data-driven, strategic and actionable recommendations.

Inclusion Audit

It assesses employees’ experiences and sense of inclusion in various interactions. It includes:

  • Review of the data you already have – for example, your employee engagement survey
  • Quantitative research – we collect data through a digital survey maintaining the highest standards of privacy and data protection
  • Qualitative research – we use various methods to collect stories and capture the lived experiences behind the insights from the survey

We go beyond measuring the feelings of individuals, e.g. their level of satisfaction, belonging and commitment, which are impacted by factors other than inclusive culture.

We focus on specific behaviours and signals that a person receives from the group and how they are interpreted. This enables us to determine the actual level of inclusion in various interactions and formulate actionable recommendations.

Systems Audit

It is a holistic assessment of organizational practices, processes and policies from a DEI perspective. It identifies enablers and barriers to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.

Systems Audit is conducted by our experts in collaboration with a specially created Working Group. We use a proprietary model aligned with the global standards.

We go beyond checking if an organization has a given solution – we analyze it and develop specific recommendations.

Why DEI Audits?

  • They are a key element of a strategic and data-driven approach to DEI

  • You need a comprehensive assessment of the current state to create a DEI strategy

  • Audits can be an external assessment of the outcomes of your strategies and initiatives

  • The result is a report with data-driven, strategic, and actionable recommendations

  • The findings give you a benchmark to measure your future progress

Assessment of the current state is a key element of a strategic and data-driven approach to DEI.

I created What Works as a collaboration platform to bring high-quality consultants to help you advance Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at your organization.

Building a workplace that works for everyone requires time and commitment.

The best time to conduct a series of audits is when you plan to develop a DEI strategy or an Action Plan.

We know that organizations have different needs so we also offer Diversity Audits, Inclusion Audits, and DEI Systems Audits separately.

“Not only we recognized personal growth from Anna’s coaching but, as a team, we became a more aligned leadership team”

In 2020, our team embarked on a journey of inclusive leadership & culture transformation. We engaged Anna to customize an IDI assessment, conduct individual coaching sessions to my leadership team, and facilitate an interactive learning session for the group. Not only we recognized personal growth from Anna’s coaching but, as a team, we became a more aligned leadership team and have implemented a number of practices benefiting our entire organization.”
